Game between Marquette and Detroit was an absolute fault of penalties. Face Offs also, seems as if Damien Hicks isn’t the answer anymore. Yet they keep tossing him out there, Tyler Corcoran as well. Benjamin Gjokaj needs to get more action it seems as if he can be efficient being a large body and able to stop breaks however I hope during conference play they figure something out on faceoffs, who ever is running them.
Faceoffs are an absolute head-scratcher. Detroit seemed to finally (for the first time in years) get something good going last year with Hicks, and while losing the wing players – particularly GB wizard Jordan Houtby – should hurt, they shouldn’t suddenly be totally hapless at the dot. Something isn’t right there, no matter who’s taking draws, and it needs to be fixed in a hurry if the Titans are going to return to the NCAA Tournament.
