A bit of home site fluff from Detroit’s team camp over the weekend.
It’s no surprise, given the assumptions we’ve been working on, but UMGoBlog is reporting that Michigan will play Ohio State on April 14th in Michigan Stadium next year. Look for this event to be paired with the annual football spring game.
Lacrosse Magazine’s Jac Coyne bids adieu to Michigan from the MCLA’s perspective:
Paul took the often jejune MCLA seriously when it would have been easier to see which student-athletes showed up on campus every year, schedule a couple of key contests, and roll a ball out come game time. He had larger goals for his program and his league, which he vigorously pursued as both the Wolverine head coach and president of the MCLA for six years. He also took pride in being the primary representative of his team.
Jac says that the MCLA should cheer on the Wolverines and JP at the next level for helping raise the profile of the league over the past 4 years.
Lacrosse game #2 for this guy tonight. Let’s get it.
April 14th is marked, and I am thinking we shall meet up and celebrate that game! Should be a crazy day. I have a feeling even non-lacrosse fans will show up JUST because it’s Ohio State, but will leave lacrosse fans because the sport is so captivating. Can’t wait.
