Another limited weekend for Division-1 lacrosse players from the state of Michigan, but with Maryland’s upset over Syracuse, one product of the Great Lax State lives on to play (or not play, as the case may be) over Memorial Weekend, the biggest event in college lacrosse.
Johns Hopkins 9, Denver 14
- #30 Andrew Cote (Brother Rice) – DNP.
Notre Dame 5, Duke 7
- #21 Jake Marmul (Detroit Catholic Central) – Won 4 of 7 faceoffs, collecting 3 GBs.
Maryland 6, Syracuse 5 (OT)
- #6 Joey Fontanesi (Brother Rice) – DNP.
Following next weekend’s games, the season will end, and the update for June 6th will recap the entire season for every player from Michigan. The May 30th update (actually May 31st if Maryland wins in the Final Four, since the championship game is Monday) will be Fontanesi-exclusive, even though he’s unlikely to see the field for the Terps.
