I missed this the other day (tip o’ the hat to @jeff_jags for pointing this out to me on Twitter), but Brother Rice alumnus and current Penn State Nittany Lion Nick Dolik was on the Merrill Lynch/Lacrossewear team that took home the Vail Lacrosse Shootout Championship in the Men’s Elite division.
Dolik’s teammate, attackman Kyle Wharton (a recent Hopkins graduate) took home the offensive MVP, and CJ Costabile (a Duke rising senior) was the defensive MVP. The Vail Lacrosse website doesn’t have full updates with a scoresheet from the game, so I’m not sure what stats Dolik put up in the final.
As a sophomore at Penn State this season, he scored 11 goals, added two assists, picked up 19 GBs, and committed 1 penalty.
Nice that he tweets it 2 hours after I posted it on MLive 🙂
