And how! A couple more Michigan commits have appeared on LaxPower:
Kinek, Dan | Emmaus | PA | Emmaus/Avon Old Famrs | CT | Midfield |
Charleton, Cooper | Hudson | OH | Hudson/Hill Academy | ON | Defense |
PhillyLacrosse is reporting that Kinek is a 2011 grad who will attend a post-grad year at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut before joining Michigan’s class of 2012.
Inside Lacrosse is also reporting the commitment of another defender:
Brendan Riefberg, Defense, Roxbury HS (N.J.) has verbally committed to Michigan. The 6-4, 190-pound recruit served as a team captain in 2011, scooped 75 groundballs, forced 32 caused turnovers and scored 19 points (7G, 12A). This past summer he played at Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip Rising Senior Camp, Tri-State National, National Lacrosse Classic, Champ Camp, Brine Shootout Session 2 and the UNC Team Camp. The longpole also played for Tri-State Black who won this summer’s Champ Camp. A varsity quarterback on Roxbury’s football team, Riefberg also considered Syracuse, Hobart and Binghamton.
“Also considered Syracuse” is new for Michigan’s 2012 class and, well, a big deal. Commitment posts forthcoming for these guys, but first I have to get to work on Detroit’s lone (known) 2012 commitment, Connor Flynn.
